There are two streams for registration:

  • For registered Canadian mental health providers
  • For other individuals, including allied health professionals and people affected by diabetes

In addition to completing self-paced e-learning modules, registered Canadian mental health providers will have the opportunity to take part in a 3-hour live, virtual interactive session led by an expert facilitator after completing the self-paced e-learning modules. Participation in this interactive session is required for listing in the Mental Health + Diabetes Directory.

By completing this course, mental health providers will learn to integrate knowledge of diabetes into practice to better support Canadians living with type 1 diabetes or type 2 diabetes, and their family members.

Who is eligible?

Mental Health Providers

Upon successful completion of the course and interactive session, registered mental health providers may apply to be listed in the Mental Health + Diabetes Directory.

Other allied health professionals and people affected by diabetes

Participants in this stream are not required to complete a final evaluation, and will not be eligible to be listed in the Mental Health + Diabetes Directory.
